What it is

Sports Startups is a numbered-slot directory for sports startups at sportsstartups.com — where sports tech companies get discovered by investors, leagues, and partners.

It forked the maxing.lol shell but swapped bids for subscriptions: 57 slots across Starter, Featured, and Spotlight tiers, each with a profile page at sportsstartups.com/{company-slug}. Stripe handles monthly billing; listings go live after manual approval.

Why I built it

After Maxing proved the vibe-coding loop, the next question was whether the same shell could support a real directory model — fixed slots, recurring revenue, and a category I actually know. Sports startups fit.

What we offer

  2. Company profile pages with logo, tagline, and outbound links
  3. Stripe subscription billing with tier upgrades and proration
  4. Admin approval workflow before anything goes public

Where it is now

In progress. Core directory, checkout, and manage flows are built locally. Launch prep — clearing test data, wiring production Stripe, and opening the first real slots — is next.
