What it Is?

Sports Business University (SBU) is a brand I’ve been holding onto for years — and it’s finally time to bring it to life. The vision is simple: create a structured, accessible way for aspiring sports professionals to learn the skills, strategies, and industry knowledge they need to land opportunities in the world of sports.

Think online courses, insider interviews, and a growing library of resources — all tailored to people who love sports but need a clear roadmap for turning that passion into a career or side hustle.

Why I Built It

I’ve worked in sports media for years through Knup Sports, and one theme has always come up: people asking “How do I get into the industry?”

The reality is, sports can feel like a closed door unless you know the right people. Traditional education doesn’t always prepare you for the business side, and opportunities can be tough to find. Sports Business University is my way of lowering that barrier.

I've also worked with over 50+ interns through Knup Solutions, Coded Content, Sports 2.0 Network and Knup Sports. These young individuals are talented in sports media, but would love to have a bit of extra curriculum and training.

I want to combine practical training, behind-the-scenes industry insight, and a community of like-minded people to help the next generation of sports professionals get their start.

What We Will Offer

  1. Online Courses – Covering sports media, sports betting, marketing, sponsorships, event management, and more
  2. Skool Community (Planned) – A private, focused space for networking, Q&A, and mentorship
  3. Resource Vault – Repurposed Knup Sports Show episodes, templates, and playbooks collected over the years
  4. Guest Expert Sessions – Insights from industry leaders across sports, gaming, and media
  5. Career Tools – Resume guides, outreach templates, and opportunity boards for breaking in

Where It's At Now

  • Stage: Branded but pre-launch; the course framework is in development
  • Content: Early resources being organized from the Knup Sports Show archive and past industry work
  • Future Roadmap: First course bundle + launch community on Skool, followed by expanding into a multi-course platform
  • Vision: To become the go-to digital education hub for sports industry careers and side hustles
