What it was

DROP was a kids-night-in, parents-night-out local business concept — a few hours of coverage for the kids so adults could actually leave the house.

It was a physical, local, logistics-heavy idea. That is a different sport from blogs and domains, which is exactly why it belongs in the archive.

Why it existed

Parents need infrastructure, not another app with a cute logo. DROP was an attempt to productize a night out. Local operations are honest: you either show up and run the room or you do not.

Where it is now

Retired as a concept/business. The family-ops instinct shows up later in Ideal Homeschool and in how we think about service businesses.
