What it was

Getaway Games was a one-day, five-sport event run with my brother-in-law: bowling, basketball, softball, golf, and poker packed into the ultimate guys’ day out.

It was not a SaaS company. It was a day, a format, and a name — same partnership thread that later includes Hooah Ventures and Castanova.

Why it existed

I like formats. 1 day + 5 sports is a clean promise. Doing it with family made it real instead of a slide deck about “community events.”
