Friday lunch date at Yak & Yeti in Asia — table service in Anandapur after a hot, crowded morning in the park.
The park was slammed and we waited longer than normal to get seated even with a reservation. That was annoying. Once upstairs, the room was fine — statues, second-floor overlook, conditioned air — but nothing that felt special as dining rooms go. Neat to be on the second floor; atmosphere still landed as mid.
Atmosphere: 7.2. Second floor, okay vibe, themed enough for Animal Kingdom Asia. Busy day energy leaked into the lobby. Fortune cookies at the end were a fun little close.
Service: 6.7. Waiter was fine. No standout moments either way. The pre-seat wait was the main drag, and that is partly a park-volume problem — still part of the experience.
Food: 7.7. Lettuce cups (lettuce wraps) to start were the hit — wok-fried chicken, sweet soy, crisp lettuce, really good. Soup was solid. Mains looked sharp on the plate: Korean Beef with the fried egg and pickled radish, and Chicken Tikka Masala with naan and rice. Presentation was good across the board. Not Tusker House–level for us, but a clear step above a counter-service scramble.
We were not in a great mood after the morning (heat, crowds, skipped safari), and that plays into the score a little. Still: low sevens feels honest.
Knup 7.2 / 10. Not our favorite Disney table-service stop, not our worst. We have done it; probably not one we rush back to. Lettuce cups alone were worth ordering.

Lunch at Yak & Yeti on a busy Friday at Animal Kingdom. Waited longer than usual to get in. Seated upstairs — fine, nothing special. Lettuce cups were excellent. Mains and soup were good; presentation looked sharp. Service was fine. Fortune cookies at the end were a fun touch. Low sevens for us — not a favorite, not our worst, probably not a repeat soon.
