Bryce and I keep coming back to Eagle Creek Golf Club in the Lake Nona / southeast Orlando pocket. It is one of the nicer public options in that part of town — not a country-club flex, but a real championship layout that asks you to hit the ball. This page is the course score. The round log below is every time we play it.
August 24 was a hot afternoon tee. I had not played in about two months. Bryce was on the whites (one set in front of the tips). I was on the yellows — 6,407 yards, par 73. Even from there it played long for me. I do not bomb it, and Eagle Creek does not shorten itself for you. We wrapped in 2 hours 41 minutes.
Condition: 7.0. Overall the course looked good. The ding was the greens — they had just been plugged, so they were choppy and bouncy instead of pure. Fair for maintenance timing; still worth noting when you are trying to make putts.
Value: 8.7. About thirty-seven bucks for the round. That is the kind of number that makes it easy to say yes again. Pace was clean, the track is a step up for the southeast Orlando area, and you are not paying resort money for it.
Difficulty: 8.0. Length is the story. From the yellows it still felt like a long walk with a stick. If you are not a big hitter, pick tees honestly and enjoy the challenge instead of fighting hero golf all day.
Pace: 8.4. Kept moving — under three hours for the full 18. No death march. That matters as much as the scorecard when it is hot and you are grinding irons.
My round: 98 (+25) — front 47, back 51 — right in my usual 95–100 band, and I was happy with it after two months off. Birdie on the par-3 8th (circled 2 on the card). Two other birdie looks: missed a brutal short putt, then left a long birdie putt just short. Irons still not consistent enough. Bryce carded 86 (+13). Full card is in 18Birdies and in the rounds section below.
Knup 7.5 / 10. Good condition with a greens caveat, strong value, honest length, solid pace. Eagle Creek stays in the Lake Nona rotation. Next round updates this same page — no new URL every time we play.

Bryce and I play Eagle Creek regularly and came back for a late afternoon round (around 4pm). Course was in good shape overall — fairways and layout felt solid — though the greens had just been plugged, so they were a little choppy/bouncy and tougher to read. It plays long for me (I was on the yellows while Bryce was on the whites), but pace of play was good and the price was excellent at about $37. Always a nice southeast Orlando / Lake Nona option when we want a real round without overpaying. Will keep coming back.
